This morning we would like to thank Dr. Chris Clements and the youth at Calvin Church (Youth Connect) for organizing and leading our worship service. In addition to those mentioned in the order of service, we also wish to express our gratitude to those working behind the scenes, namely Jolene Bitter (PowerPoint preparation), Gideon Akuffo (live stream setup), Jubilee Kim, Lydia Akuffo (greeters), Dan McFee and Keith McFee (music selection and preparation). We appreciate all your contributions to today’s service, as we worship our Lord on this first Sunday of Advent.

Chris moved to Abbotsford with his wife (Nyssa) and children (Arya and Silas) in July of this past year. Prior to moving out, he spent fifteen years in youth ministry, eleven of which were with St Andrew’s Presbyterian in Fergus, Ontario. He is presently teaching youth work at Columbia Bible College. Outside of church life, the Clements clan be found on local rivers and lakes. While teaching was the central draw in the family’s move to BC, the Chilliwack valley and its year-round white water paddling definitely helped to “seal the deal.” Chris is very happy to be here today with you all.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST: The next fellowship meeting will take place on Saturday, December 4th at 8:00am at the Roseland Restaurant, 12 – 33550 S. Fraser Way, Abbotsford. The guest speaker will be Jean Thivierge, and his topic will be “Canada’s help to the Haiti people by Military Engineers”.  **All attendees must be double vaccinated and wear a mask, except when eating and drinking. **

ABBOTSFORD FOOD BANK: Please continue to bring in your food bank donations. Ken Gilbank will do the next pick up on Thursday, December 23rd.          Thank you.

SENIOR CONNECT STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING: Any congregants who were interested in forming a walking/hiking group are invited to join us this Tuesday morning, November 30th at 11am for our meeting in the Gathering Space.  Hope to see you there!

BOXED ENVELOPES: Boxed envelopes for the new year “2022” will be available soon. Please advise if you are currently not using envelopes or Pre-Authorized Remittance and would like to be included. We have a choice of weekly or monthly boxed envelopes and PAR. For those of you that are using one of these methods of giving and would like to make a change, this would be a convenient time to do so. You can contact Marilyn Instant at 604-855-9124 or email
